Method
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels until they feel firm and the surface is free of moisture.

- In a small mixing bowl, combine paprika, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, whisking to blend the herbs and spices evenly.

- Rub the spice mixture generously all over each chicken breast, pressing it into the meat to ensure good adhesion.

- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) to ensure a hot environment for crisping.

- Lightly spray the chicken breasts with olive oil spray, coating all sides to promote browning and crispness.

- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if applicable, making sure they aren’t touching for even airflow.

- Cook for 10 minutes, then open the air fryer and flip the chicken breasts to the other side.
- Continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F), and the surface is golden and crispy.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes, allowing the juices to redistribute and keep the meat moist.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the rested chicken for a bright, zesty finish, if desired.
- Slice the chicken and serve immediately, enjoying the crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior.
Notes
Ensure chicken breasts are roughly the same size for even cooking. Adjust cooking time based on thickness. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice blend for 30 minutes before cooking.
